  • They are slimy so they can swim through things
  • There are 3 spices in New Zealand long fin, short fin and Australian long fin which only comes out in the north island
  • Anguilliformes is a group eels
  • 19 eel species world wide
  • Long fins are fatter than short fins
  • Eels can hear, sense and see very well
  • They can grow up to 2m
  • They don't eat everyday
  • You can tell how old eels are by their ear bone but if you take it out the eel dies
  • The oldest eel was about 112
I learnt so much more!
